There’s pizza and there’s really, really good pizza.
Travel site Big 7 Travel just released their list of “The 50 Best Pizzas in the World”—the 2020 edition, that is.
“While there are many things around the world that we could argue about, there is one thing that the vast majority of the world agree on: that without a doubt is pizza, one of the world’s tastiest dishes,” the site reads. “We’ve updated our annual list for 2020, keeping in mind places open for takeout as well as dine-in.”
Among the list of pizza brands from various countries and cities around the globe, we found a Filipino brand in the list. And the only one at that:Â Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza!
Taking the 34th spot on the list, Big 7 Travel describes Gino’s pizza as the kind that is “cooked in a traditional Italian-style with dough that has been baked in house and proves for at least a day.”
The site also notes that a “perfect crust” is achieved by cooking the pizza “within a couple of minutes at 400C.”
And the result? “The toppings are what really bring their pizzas alive. Never a dull meal in here.”
In turn, Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza expressed its thanks through a post, citing “a very big thank you to all who have supported us through the years!”
Currently, Gino’s has 5 branches across Metro Manila in Katipunan, Salcedo Village, Serendra, Shangri-La Plaza, and Rada. This store offers a wide range of pizzas including Margherita, Buffalo Chicken, Four Cheese Pizza, and the Bacon Gouda pizza, just to name a few. Some variants even come with the option of chili honey to drizzle on top for that sweet and spicy kick!
