The sudden passing of Liam Payne shocked fans and the music and entertainment industry. It has been revealed that he died without a will, leaving behind an estate of money, property, and possessions worth over $32 million. Without a will in place, the question now is: who will inherit his fortune?

According to a report by PEOPLE Magazine, the late singer’s estate in the U.K. has a gross value of $38 million (P2.1 billion), with a net worth of approximately $32.2 million (P1.7 billion).
Court documents obtained by the magazine showed that his former partner, Cheryl, with whom he shared a son named Bear, and attorney Richard Mark Bray have been named as administrators of this $32.2 million estate.
In the U.K., if someone dies without a will, their estate is typically distributed to their legal spouse or civil partner. If they were unmarried, the estate usually goes to their children. In the absence of both, it is passed on to the closest blood relative.
BBC News reported that Cheryl and Bear will manage the money; however, they have limited authority over it and cannot distribute it.
Liam and Cheryl began dating in 2015. They welcomed Bear in 2017 and parted ways in 2018 but remained close co-parents. Before his passing, Liam had been in a relationship with Kate Cassidy since 2022.
In October 2024, Liam passed away after falling from the third floor of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
