We were ecstatic when we heard that our very own Rachelle Ann Go was set to star in Les Miserables in London’s West End, but now we’re even more ecstatic as we will get to see her as Fantine live in Manila when the hit broadway musical launches its Asian tour here in March 2016.

If you love musicals as much as I do, then you will understand my excitement for this. If you haven’t seen the musical and are merely familiar with it because of the movie starring Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway, then trust me when I say the musical is a whole different experience.
I first got my taste of Les Miserables in London as a child, but every time I have seen it, it was as if I was seeing it with new eyes. There is always something new to learn with Les Miserables, always someone new to relate to, and always a distinct verse of a song that will hit you right in the gut. If you plan on going, don’t wear makeup… tears will flow!
Rachelle Ann will be joined by Simon Gleeson as Jean Valjean and Earl Carpenter as Javert. Tickets will be going on sale on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, and prices will range from Php1,750 to Php7,000. Definitely not bad for this world-renowned musical!
