Rachelle Ann Go to Star in Les Miserables in London

Rachelle Ann Go is definitely conquering the London stage. First it was the West End production of Miss Saigon as Gigi Van Tranh, now it’s the West End production of Les Miserables as Fantine!

Rachelle will breathe the role of Fantine to life starting June 15. In the play, which is based on a novel by Victor Hugo, Fantine is a young mother who is forced into prostitution to care for her young child Cosette. Her most famous song in the play is “I Dreamed a Dream.”

In the past, the role of Fantine was played by Lea Salonga on Broadway and Anne Hathaway in the film adaptation.

Rachelle will be joined by Jeremy Secomb (as Javert), Phil Daniels and Katy Secombe (as the Thenadiers), Zoë Doano (as Cosette), Peter Lockyer (as Jean Valjean), Rob Houchen (as Marius), Carrie Hope Fletcher (as Eponine), and Bradley Jaden (as Enjolras).

Just last March, Rachelle announced that she will no longer extend her role as Gigi in Miss Saigon. She also said that she hopes to play Fantine someday. We guess she dreamed a dream, and that dream came true.
