La Verne Cafe: A Must-Try Hidden Garden Restaurant Near Tagaytay

When planning a road trip to Tagaytay, it’s a guarantee that you’ll also be searching for the best food spots to try in the area. Well, if you also want to enjoy some peace and quiet, you don’t have to go to the center of Tagaytay City and endure the traffic just to enjoy great food (and yes, that includes the famous Tagaytay Bulalo).

You can enjoy a feast at La Verne Cafe instead! La Verne Cafe is a garden-themed restaurant in Cabuyao, Laguna, which is actually just 15 minutes away from Tagaytay Highlands and Nuvali.

La Verne Cafe is the in-house restaurant of Kasile Hills Nature Resort. But even if you’re not checked in at the resort, you can enjoy the mouthwatering dishes of La Verne Cafe.

The first thing we noticed when we dined at La Verne Cafe was the beautiful Instagrammable interiors. It’s like an indoor garden with lush greens hanging from the ceilings. At night, it also offers a romantic setting—like going on a garden date without being exposed to the elements.

Shining the spotlight on their food, La Verne Cafe’s menu is pretty compact, but that also means that whatever you choose is guaranteed to be great.

Their menu features a mix of classic Pinoy dishes and some original recipes with a Kasile Hills twist.

One of our favorites was their Chorizo Cheese Sticks, which was a flavorful and meatier version of the classic cheese sticks. We couldn’t get enough of the meaty and savory addition of the chorizo inside the cheese sticks!

Another dish that really stood out to us was their Bulalo. La Verne Cafe’s Bulalo was so flavorful, and the meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, plus it was so juicy that it still makes us drool when thinking about it.

We love that you don’t even have to drive up all the way to Tagaytay to enjoy amazing bulalo, because you can enjoy it at La Verne Cafe! It’s also a huge bonus if you’re already staying at Kasile Hills and you’re not really in the mood to leave the resort.

Some of their must-try dishes are also their Sinigang na Hipon and super crispy Crispy Pata! You’re sure to love these dishes if you’re a massive fan of classic Filipino food.

While they have delicious appetizers, mains, and even all-day breakfast meals, their signature desserts are also worth highlighting.

The Kasile Turon is the classic turon with an ube twist! We couldn’t get enough of this crunchy sweet treat, especially with the dulce de leche dip.

Another special La Verne Cafe dessert is the Creamy Maja Brulee which is an elevated version of the famous maja blanca. This creamy maja blanca features crunchy caramelized sugar on top, making it a Pinoy version of creme brulee. It’s definitely a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth!

We also loved their many drink options, including refreshing fruit juices and fresh fruit shakes.
