When Kylie Padilla made her entrance to the GMA Thanksgiving Gala last July 30 at Shangri-La The Fort wearing her black gown and fishnet veil, it garnered mixed reactions from netizens, many of whom praised her for her attention-grabbing look while others wondered about the reasoning behind it.
Well, Kylie took to Instagram to explain the vibe she had been going for with her outfit, which had been designed by Francis Libiran.
“The story behind this look is dark but what isn’t with anything that I do. I came to the party to mourn. LOL,” she wrote in the caption.

With that in mind, we’d say that she definitely nailed the look!
Kylie may have been dressed up “to mourn” but there’s nothing at all in her life and career lately to grieve over. In an interview with Nelson Canlas last May, the actress confirmed that she is dating again, over a year since her split with husband Aljur Abrenica. She did not, however, share any other details about it.
She is currently the star of the GMA Network television series “Bolera” and also began filming for her new movie “Unravel” with Gerald Anderson in Switzerland. There’s no doubt that she has a lot in store for her fans in the months to come!
