ย Kuala Lumpur 101
Going abroad this month was never in the plan yet somehow,ย the universe managed to squeeze it in…ย And I never thought it would even fall exactly on my birthday!ย Aside from that,ย my partner in crime Frank was there to join me on this special trip,ย making it one of my best birthdays ever!
the time was around 4am and as you can see, my vision was still blurry from having lack of sleep… I couldn’t believe my partner Frank was there at the airport with me! I super missed him!
I’m sure many of you missed our fun wacky photos and misadventures but worry not coz we’re back as strong as ever! We’re soooo excited to tell you all about our come back feature and first ever out of the country trip as partners!
ย checked in the airport around 4am!
This week’s ย destination: ย Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! Made possible by Tourism Malaysia and AirAsia!
It was indeed an honor to join AirAsia‘s inaugural flight to Kuala Lumpur and join fellow top travel and lifestyle bloggers in this fun-filled weekend! ย Also, I was soooo excited to use my newest ultra wide angle lens which I bought at Henry’s Camera Photo a few days before my trip! I can’t wait to capture Kuala Lumpur with wide shots!

For the most affordable airfare rates, fly AirAsia!
ย it was another perfect day!ย
Even before landing, ย we noticed how organized the buildings and houses were and also the abundance of lush trees! ย It looked pretty much like the Philippines but way cleaner and disciplined. It’s what Manila should be… The Manila which we can only dream of for now and I really admire them for doing such a great job!

ย touchdown Kuala Lumpur!
I would have to admit that like most of us, I hardly know anything about Malaysia and other neighboring countries. ย What a shame ey? So when I heard about the trip to Kuala Lumpur, ย I knew it would be a great opportunity for Frank and I to know more about Malaysia! ย You see, ย we may look silly most of the time, but behind the silly faces are actually a pair of overly analytical brains who enjoy meaningful and insightful conversations. ย There is no doubt how much we love and adore the Philippines but of course, we must also expand our boundaries and immerse into various environments in order to grow.

Systematic, ย dynamic ย and with a conscious effort in preserving its rich and colorful heritage is what Kuala Lumpur is all about! ย Modern meets traditional.. ย A melting pot of all that is Asia. ย No wonder they say that Malaysia is truly Asia!

5. For your “pasalubongs”, try buying at Dama Sheng which is just a few minutes away from the cable car station going to the Genting highlands. It’s a big grocery store loaded with Malaysian delicacies. The prices are very affordable and they also offer free tastes!
