As they say, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. And when it comes to young basketball player Kobe Paras, that saying can be considered accurate. As the son of actor and retired PBA basketball player Benjie Paras, Kobe has wowed both Filipinos and Americans with his basketball skills. We can’t help but wonder, did Benjie name him Kobe because he knew his son is headed for basketball greatness?

Kobe is currently a player for Cathedral High School in Los Angeles, California. In the time he has been playing for LA Cathedral, he has been called one of the best players in the state’s The League presented by Compton Magic, one of the best Athletic Amateur Union programs. Kobe has also been featured in a solo video mixtape created by the website ballislife.com, and joined other prep stars in a highlights reel. In fact, he is already committed to play for the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Bruins in 2016.

For those who still need convincing of Kobe’s skills, a new video of the star player is making the rounds of social media. In his school’s match against St. Genevieve in the San Fernando Valley Invitational, Kobe is seen making two slam dunks… in the span of 20 seconds. With his help, the team won an impressive score of 104-74.
