Klea Pineda has finally spoken up about Janella Salvador’s alleged involvement in her breakup with model Katrice Kierulf.

In an interview at the 2025 GMA Gala, Klea dismissed there was a third party involved in her breakup with Katrice.
“Oh yeah, of course, I’m aware sa nangyayari but sinasabi ko, ako na nagsasabi mismo sa inyo na walang third party na nangyari (I’m aware of what’s happening, but I’m telling you myself that there was no third party involved),” she said.
She also explained that her closeness with Janella stemmed from working together on the upcoming Cinemalaya sapphic film Open Endings, where they co-star alongside Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Leanne Mamanong.
“Yung closeness namin ni Janella inevitable siya kasi magkasama kami sa film. So, kaming apat sa film, si Jasmine, si Leanne, si Janella and me, yung closeness namin talagang nadevelop during shooting days namin (The closeness between Janella and me was inevitable because we were working together on the film. So the four of us—Jasmine, Leanne, Janella, and I—really developed our bond during the shooting days),” she shared.
Meanwhile, the Under Parallel Skies actress made a cryptic post on X (formerly Twitter). She was eventually dragged into the breakup when the model liked comments on TikTok that referred to her as the “other party.”

In an interview with Boy Abunda, the Kapuso actress confirmed that their breakup was due to a “mutual decision.”
“May mga kaniya-kaniya kaming priorities. Mutual decision ‘yung nangyari, mutual ‘yung breakup namin and umabot na kami sa point na gusto niya unahin ‘yung sarili niya. Gusto ko rin naman unahin ‘yung sarili ko this time, piliiin ‘yung sarili ko this time (We each have our own priorities. What happened was a mutual decision—it was a mutual breakup. We reached a point where she wanted to prioritize herself, and I also want to prioritize myself this time, to choose myself this time),” she said.
The 26-year-old actress also made an official statement about the breakup in a lengthy Instagram post.

“Nilaban naman namin hanggat sa makakaya namin, sinubukan naman namin ayusin. Tumatanda na tayo at may mga bagay na mas kailangan unahin o bigyan ng pansin. Kinailangan na lang talaga tanggapin na wala na kaming magagawa kundi tapusin na lang talaga ang relasyon namin (We fought for it as much as we could, and we really tried to fix things. We’re getting older, and there are things that need to be prioritized or given more attention. We just had to accept that there was nothing more we could do but to end the relationship),” she wrote.
“Salamat sa pagmamahal na binigay mo sa akin, Kat. Lagi mong tatandaan na kahit anong mangyari, hindi mawawala pagmamahal ko sayo (Thank you for the love you gave me, Kat. Always remember that no matter what happens, my love for you will never fade),” she concluded her post.
