Kim Jao Collection: Cover-ups and Kimonos For Everyday Wear

When in Manila, girls are often pretty hard to pigeonhole. One day, we’re all prim and proper in our Jackie O blazers and pearl earrings; the next day, we’re a little more laid-back and chill in jeans and boots topped off with messy-chic hair. Very few brands can keep up with our ever-changing minds when it comes to how we dress everyday. Kim Jao Collection is one of those brands.

It would’ve been great if we all had closets that could change and expand the way that we need them to whenever we’re feeling the need to shake things up and experiment. For us who don’t have such a magical wardrobe, though, investing in pieces that could work with every possible look we’re going for is our way to go.

I have an endless love for this chiffon kimono. It’s light, it moves so well, and it comes in a print that is simple and dynamic at the same time.

This kimono is pretty beach-ready, too. I’d just have to replace my tank top with a bikini, ditch my wedge pumps for flip-flops, and I’m good to go.

This Kim Jao Collection cardi also caught my eye — it’s just too adorable!

There’s just something about floral top that can make any look ten times more girly, no?

It isn’t as flowy as the kimono, but I love how this print just screams spring. It’s perfect to take with you for afternoon tea or chilling in the park with a book.

Kim Jao Collection started in 2012, poised to be a pioneer in cover-ups and kimonos. Today, their collection has expanded to cover-up dresses and tops, but their original chiffon cardigans and cover-ups remain their best-sellers.
