Fresh from a back-to-back MVP stint at the recently concluded UAAP season 78, Ateneo Blue Eagles star player Kiefer Ravena shows he is poised for bigger things.
Gilas Pilipinas head coach Tab Baldwin reportedly just confirmed that Kiefer was officially part of the national men’s basketball pool, meaning he has a chance to be part of the national team roster for next year’s FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament!
Kiefer will also reportedly be the last non-professional player to be considered for the national team, and will be facing steep competition from the best players in the PBA.
According to Baldwin:
“Yeah, he is officially part of the pool, but I don’t know what that means. Kiefer and I had discussions way back.
We knew he’ll be coming in to training when his other schedules cleared up.”
Do you think Kiefer has what it takes to be part of Gilas 4.0 in the FIBA World Tournament?
