Ken Chu took to Instagram to honor his Meteor Garden co-star, Barbie Hsu.
On February 3, Ken shared two Instagram stories to express his condolences following the unexpected passing of the beloved Taiwanese actress, which shocked the internet.

The first Instagram story was a solid black photo, while the second featured a throwback picture of the Meteor Garden cast, which he had posted in 2023 during the popular show’s 22nd anniversary.

Ken Chu and Barbie Hsu are co-stars in the 2001 show Meteor Garden, which was also joined by Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, and Vanness Wu. The Taiwanese romantic-drama show catapulted into mainstream fame and has been well-loved by viewers and fans since its release.
The popular Taiwanese actress died at the age of 48 because of flu-triggered pneumonia, which was confirmed by her family and her sister, Dee Hsu, in a statement.
“I am grateful to have been her sister in this lifetime, to have cared for each other and accompanied each other. I will always be thankful for her and miss her forever.” the statement reads.
