Kelsey Merritt is on a roll. After being the first Filipina to walk the Victoria’s Secret runway show, having her beauty routine featured on Vogue, and hanging out with Zac Efron, she will now be featured in Sports Illustrated.
She announced the news on Twitter, saying, “I’ve been keeping this a secret for a while, and now I’m so excited I get to finally share with you all that I’m the newest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2019 Rookie!”

The tweet was accompanied by a video of Merritt in a swimsuit, saying that the shoot is in a few hours.
According to the magazine, “You might recognize this freckle-faced beauty as the first-ever Filipino woman to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show just last year. Our girl has also modeled for brands such as Vera Wang and Maybelline, even while she was still in school! Talk about beauty AND brains.”
Merritt joins other beauties like Winnie Harlow, Camille Kostek, Haley Kalil, and more.
The issue will be out in May.
