Five of the most outstanding Filipino celebrities are nominated at the 2023 Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA)!
These are “2 Good 2 Be True” stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, as well as “Maria Clara at Ibarra” stars Barbie Forteza, Julie Anne San Jose, and Dennis Trillo. The Filipino nominees are up for the SDA 2023 Outstanding Asian Star category against South Korean artists including Song Joong-ki, Lee Je-hoon, Yoon-ah, Park Eun-bin, and Song Hye-kyo, and other biggest stars from other Asian countries.

The SDA, an annual international drama festival participated by 50 countries, is now on its 18th anniversary. In its 11th edition, Trillo earned the Asian Star Prize award for excellence in television drama production alongside “Descendants of the Sun” star Song Joong Ki. Last year, Belle Mariano was the recipient of the Outstanding Asian Star award.
Everyone can vote for their bets among the nominated artists (even nominees who are not from their country) through the voting app “Idolchamp” from June 15 to July 14. According to the organizers, “Winners selected by the vote will also be invited to the ceremony to share the joy of winning the award with the general public.”
Winners will be awarded at the 18th Seoul International Drama Awards on September 21.
