K-pop Idol Kang Daniel is set to enlist this year.

According to a report by Soompi, Kang Daniel will enlist as an active-duty soldier on February 9.
“Kang Daniel will enlist at the Army Training Center on February 9, where he will undergo basic military training before fulfilling his mandatory service as an active-duty soldier in the Army,” his agency, ARA, announced in a statement.
It added: “No separate event will be held on the day of his enlistment. As the enlistment site will be shared with many fellow soldiers and their families, we kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting the location for safety reasons.”
Kang Daniel is a popular South Korean singer-songwriter who garnered mainstream success when he became a member of the popular K-pop boy group Wanna One. Following the group’s disbandment, the K-pop idol launched his solo music career and released numerous EPs, including “Color on Me,” “Act,” and “Glow to Haze,” as well as the studio album “The Story: Retold.”
