After its acclaimed previous performance, Dingdong Novenario’s Kafatiran is set to grace the NCAS Auditorium once again on November 11–12, with a matinee show at 2:00 PM and an evening show at 7:00 PM.
First staged in 2011 at the CCP Virgin Labfest, Kafatiran continues to captivate audiences through multiple restagings across the country. Its most recent staging at the UPLB CAS Auditorium during THEA 157’s ANINAG is well-received by audiences, whose enthusiasm reflects the play’s continued relevance and emotional impact.

Now, Kafatiran is one of the productions under The Molawin Stage’s second theatrical season, Homefire. As all actors of Kafatiran reprise their roles, the production offers a renewed flair this season, with each performer bringing fresh creative layers to their characters and the play.
Set during the dawn of the Philippine Revolution in the 1890s, Kafatiran follows four closeted Katipuneros torn between two battles — the fight for their nation’s freedom and the liberation of their own identities. As the revolution draws near and danger closes in, they must confront a painful question: will they leave the only place where they can truly be themselves? Or is it time to finally come out?
Tickets are now available through https://bit.ly/TMSKafatiran at PHP 120 each for students and PHP 150 for non-students.
