GMA Network revealed in a post that the actor may be appearing in the game show “Wowowin” soon after sharing a photo of him shaking hands with host Willie Revillame. Also in the photo was Direk Bobot Mortiz, who currently serves as “Wowowin’s” Creative Director.

This news was then confirmed by PEP.ph which reported that John Lloyd will be the show’s special guest for the 6.6 Shopee Super Mega Fiesta event to be televised on the GMA channel.

This will mark John Lloyd’s first return to TV in four years since taking break to focus on his family and his personal affairs. In a recent “Wowowin” episode, Willie shared to his audience how he and John Lloyd had a “heart-to-heart” in Willie’s house in Puerto Galera earlier this month where he learned the reason behind the actor’s hiatus.

“‘Burnout ka na. Ito na lang po ginagawa ko araw-araw. ‘Pag gising ko, shooting. ‘Pag tulog ko, ‘pag gising ko, shooting,'” he quoted John Lloyd. “‘Yun bang binigyan niya ng halaga ‘yung sarili niya. Dapat ganyan din tayo eh.

The last project the 37-year-old ever did was his movie with Sarah Geronimo back in 2017 titled “Finally Found Someone.” He and his then-girlfriend, Ellen Adarna, welcomed their son, Elias, in 2018.

He has since made a few appearances in movies and television, namely an advertisement for a local shawarma franchise and a cameo in the 2019 film “Culion.” He is also set to star in “Servando Magdamag” directed by Lav Diaz and written by Ricky Lee. He also sat down with host Boy Abunda last November to open up about why he took his long leave of absence from the entertainment scene.

It is still unknown what he has in store for all of us but rumor has it that he has also been in talks with GMA Pictures president Annete Gozon-Valdes for possible projects with the network. He is currently signed with Crown Artist Management, which is owned by John Lloyd’s former costar Maja Salvador.
