Lily recently released its music video for “Magbalik 2.0,” starring Jiro Manio, which surprised netizens following his long hiatus in showbiz.
The former child star evoked the emotions of love and heartbreak, showcasing his acting skills in the six-minute music video. This collaboration between Lily and Jiro brought nostalgia to the audience with the OPM band’s new version of the hit single, originally released in 2006.

According to Lily, Jiro’s appearance in the music video brought a new meaning to the song, “His connection brings a fresh perspective that genuinely aligns with the heart of the song ‘Magbalik.’ It’s like going on the circles of life with love, always with love.”

Lily, formerly called Callalily, now comprises of Joshua Bulot, Alden Acosta, Aaron Ricafrente, Nathan Reyes, Lem Belaro, and Ezra Jehu.

Meanwhile, Jiro is known for his remarkable role in the 2003 film “Magnifico,” where he won several awards. In an interview with Boy Abunda in January, he revealed that he’s still receiving showbiz offers. However, his doctor advised him not to commit to returning to the industry until he’s fully recovered.
The 2004 Gawad Urian Best Actor also clarified he has no plans to return to showbiz. He last appeared in “Little Star” and “Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last Na ‘To!)” before he entered the rehab for drug abuse in 2011.
