Jasmine Curtis-Smith honored her late father on his birth anniversary.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Jasmine shared old photos with her father.

“Happy birthday, Dad,” she began. “Every drive to your place was always worth it because it ended in the warmth and safety of your embrace.”
The actress also expressed how much she misses her father, especially during the quiet moments and the small things.
“I miss you in the quiet moments, in the long roads, in the small things. But I hope wherever you are, you’ve got your beer in a basong may yelo,” she wrote.
She concluded, “Cheers to the life of our Gentle Giant.”
Her older sister, Anne, also honored her father in a separate Instagram post.
In January 2026, it was announced that her father passed away. The cause of death was not included.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected yet peaceful passing of our father, James E. Curtis-Smith. A true patriarch in every sense, he shaped us with strength, resilience, and a wit that will forever echo in our family. He was deeply loved, endlessly admired, and will live on in our hearts always. We will miss him dearly,” the statement read.
