James Earl Jones, the iconic voice of Darth Vader in “Star Wars” and Mufasa in “The Lion King,” has passed away on September 9, his representative confirmed. He was 93 years old.
According to reports, he died at his home in Dutchess County, New York, surrounded by his loved ones. The cause of his death wasn’t revealed.
The award-winning actor is known for his roles in numerous films and television shows, including “Dr. Strangelove,” “The Sandlot,” “Field of Dreams,” and “Coming to America.” He’s also among the beloved figures in Hollywood who earned Emmy, Grammy, Tony, and an honorary Oscar.
