Since I am quite fond of chocolates, I had fun tasting the other varieties.
It’s All About Sweets’ Chocolate and Choco-Mocha Cupcakes

Being a sweets lover, these flavors were the ones that I loved. The lush topping is very creamy. Also, the chocolates sprinkled above did not easily melt even though I ate it hours after it was delivered.
Looking at its dimensions, it perfectly fits in a hand.
It is a wonder that the rose-shaped designs stayed intact even right after I hand-carried the box on my way home. Take note: I commute all the way from Boni to Roosevelt. I would not have been puzzled if the frosting ended up a bit hard, but no; the texture was still soft, thick and luscious. This could have been due to the design of the box. Check out the picture below.
Peeking inside the box: See the deep round enclosure for the cupcake?
Curious about the taste of these cupcakes? The Chocolate cupcake is chewy and filled with chocolate with every bite. The Chocolate cupcake tastes like it was filled with Hershey’s chocolate. How about the Choco-Mocha cupcake? Take a closer look at it.
Up Close: The Choco-Mocha Cupcake
The Choco-Mocha cupcake is also filled with gooey chocolate inside. Compared to the Chocolate cupcake, though, this one tastes more like capuccino. And nope, this does not taste like peanut butter even if it looks like it has peanut butter frosting.
Loaded with lots of chocolates inside! Hmm..
Overall, I loved the Chocolate and Choco-Mocha cupcakes. They don’t taste like the ordinary brown chocolates we normally see in groceries. Compared to the Red Velvet and Rainbow cupcakes, these varieties are sweeter to the point that you will be satisfied with just one. They are also quite filling – so heavy on the stomach that I had to put off eating dinner for a few hours. This kind of satisfying sweetness would work best for wedding receptions and cocktail parties where guests are only given limited yet satisfying amounts of food. For the OC or cleanliness-conscious hosts, don’t worry; the paper used for the cupcakes are quite thick, too. No crumbs fell off even if we didn’t eat it with any table napkins.
The sweets look and taste heavenly in a minimalist way. I became curious as to where the pastry chef drew inspiration for her creations, so I called her up for a quick interview to get to know a little about her.
It’s All About Sweets is the brainchild of the pastry chef, Jaja Cueto. A 28-year old sweets-lover, Jaja started baking and cooking at a very young age of 14. It turned out that Jaja baked goodies for a family party. The guests liked the quality of the pastries so much that they take orders for it. From then on, her friends and workmates would often order pastries, ranging from cakes, cookies and cupcakes to her personally. Even if she did not plan to go for a commercial stint before, her acquaintances, families and friends encouraged her to put her heaven-sent talents into good use. Even if she already has the talent, Jaja got trainings from a Culinary Institute to hone her craft.
Jaja’s inspiration? According to her, she always aspired to delight the people who eat her creations. She finds inspiration in seeing and knowing how satisfied her family, friend and customers are. I asked her if she has taste critics. Her answer? “My nieces and nephews are my food critics.” Her nieces and nephews are aged 2 to12, and mind you, kids of those ages are the most upfront critics. Kids normally do not tell what is specifically wrong or right about the food that they eat; they will just tell upfront whether it’s good or bad, whether they like it or not. The rainbow cupcake is one of the pastries her niece especially requested. Jaja was happy to create this on her own.
The good news is that everyone can now order Jaja’s creations. It’s All About Sweets now accepts orders nationwide. Since the store is always fully booked with orders, it would be best if you order 2 weeks prior to the delivery date. Its shipping couriers include LBC, JRS and sometimes, even her personal courier just to ensure the food safety of her pastries during delivery. It’s All About Sweets is used to getting orders from school and social organizations, anniversaries, weddings and children’s parties. The best thing about it? You can trust that these are freshly-baked upon delivery. No preservatives are being used by the pastry chef.
So, if you want to treat your friends, give a sweet treat– hassle-free!
