Good news for theater fans! The hit Broadway musical Into The Woods is coming to the Philippines this August.

On January 8, Theater Group Asia (TGA) announced that the popular musical will take center stage at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Circuit Makati.
“Don’t miss the chance to experience the enchanting tale that has captivated audiences worldwide!” the theater production wrote.
Into the Woods is a 1986 musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book written by James Lapine. It weaves together the stories of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales, featuring characters from timeless classics such as Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and more.
In 2014, a Disney film adaptation was released. The film was a hit among viewers worldwide, earning a total gross of over $213 million worldwide and receiving multiple nominations from prestigious award-giving bodies like the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes.
The Disney film featured an ensemble cast, including Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Johnny Depp, Christine Baranski, Tracey Ullman, and James Corden.
More details, such as ticketing and cast members, are yet to be announced.
