HYBE, the entertainment company behind BTS, has announced the launch of a new label focused on producing girl groups.
Called ABD, short for A Bold Dream, the new subsidiary was introduced as part of HYBE’s continuing multi-label strategy. According to the company, ABD will center on “unconventional, flexible, and playful ideas that push beyond norm.”

In a press statement, HYBE said the label aims to explore “new possibilities” in K-pop while focusing on the connection between artists and fans.
Leading ABD is No Ji-won, who previously worked as the head of artist planning at Pledis Entertainment—the HYBE label home to SEVENTEEN.
The label is also preparing to debut its first girl group in the second half of 2026. Production for the upcoming act will be overseen by Han Sung-soo, known for working with groups like SEVENTEEN, After School, and IZ*ONE.
ABD becomes the latest addition to HYBE’s growing roster of labels. The company currently manages several active girl groups through different subsidiaries, including LE SSERAFIM under Source Music, ILLIT under Belift Lab, and NewJeans under ADOR.
