With the rise of remote work, a workcation—or “working vacation”—allows professionals to stay on top of their deliverables while enjoying a refreshing change of scenery. Thankfully, we had the chance to check in at Mandarin Bay Resort & Spa, a 5-star hotel located in Station 2, Boracay. It offered more than just scenic views and top-notch facilities; it delivered the convenience and comfort needed before jumping straight to work (or to bed).
Hassle-free experiences
We were able to skip the hassle of long lines and the sweltering heat with Mandarin Bay’s seamless airport-to-hotel transfers. From that point forward until we finally settled into our room, everything was thoughtfully handled, setting the tone for a stress-free stay that is needed for a workcation.

During our stay, we were treated to an amazing view of the resort’s swimming pool, which is known to be the longest pool in Boracay. Everything we needed was also within reach: the restaurants, bars, Mandarin’s spa, and just a few more steps led us straight to the beachfront, where we could wander and indulge in Boracay’s breathtaking views.
After settling in, we were welcomed by a spacious room that balanced comfort and elegance. Our room featured a vanity area that is perfect for the Instagram-worthy mirror selfies, a mini refrigerator, a coffee machine, and two plush and comfortable beds where you can hop right in after accomplishing a work-related task.
The bathroom was luxurious, with a sleek built-in shower and a spacious bathtub where you can relax after a day of powering through work or exploring the island’s natural beauty.
But our favorite part of the room was this corner! As soon as we stepped into the room, this cozy and thoughtfully designed space exuded comfort and functionality. It had a huge lounge chair and an accent table, making it a great spot for those who want to finish their deliverables. What made this area even better was the sliding door that revealed the view of the pool, and how natural light would pour in through the sheer curtains.

This stylish yet chic corner became a place we found ourselves drawn to, rather than our own beds, as it allowed us to quietly watch the view, feel the warmth of the sun on our skin, and forget the bustle and hustle of the city.
