Mak’s Noodle, the long-running Cantonese noodle house from Hong Kong, has officially opened its first branch in Manila at SM Megamall. What started as a modest stall in Hong Kong has since expanded internationally, with locations across China and Thailand.

Now, the Philippines joins that list, bringing Mak’s Noodle’s well-known wonton noodles closer to home.
The restaurant is best known for its clear yet flavorful broth—described by the Michelin Guide as deeply layered—paired with springy duck egg noodles. Its signature wonton noodles come with translucent, paper-thin skins wrapped around firm prawns, served simply to let the textures and flavors stand out.
Aside from wonton noodles, Mak’s Noodle also offers classic Cantonese dishes such as brisket and tendon noodles, as well as braised pork knuckle cooked with fermented red beancurd.
The space follows the brand’s traditional Hong Kong look, featuring bright interiors, green leather seating, and wooden accents that keep things clean and straightforward.
Mak’s Noodle is currently located on the ground level of SM Megamall’s Mega Fashion Hall. A second branch is also set to open soon at SM Mall of Asia.
