We can’t wait to tell you all about our most recent hotel stay at the newly opened Holiday Inn and Suites in Makati!

I would have to admit that I’ve been so excited for the opening of the new Holiday Inn and Suites Makati when I first heard about it last November 2012. I dunno why but even though I have never tried any Holiday Inn hotel before, I somehow had this gut feeling that it’s gonna be a MUST for me to experience it! Upon hearing about its recent opening, I immediately tried to convince Frank that we should spend a full weekend there!

Contrary to our usual long bus rides and plane trips, it felt good to know that we didn’t have to travel far distances to reach our destination for this week. We felt a bit more relaxed because we were able to do some window shopping and even watched a movie since the newly opened Holiday Inn & Suites is connected to the New Glorietta!

The Holiday Inn brand itself is highly respected in the hospitality industry for so many decades and for the longest time, I’ve been so curious about the secret to its success.

The Holiday Inn & Suites for us, is all about satisfying its clients with the basics which all hotels should provide! I noticed that compared to other hotels who divert their guest’s attention to leisure, entertainment etc, at Holiday Inn, the most basic services are emphasized! It’s the little things which really impressed us the most which led to the conclusion that they must have mastered the “science of comfort & relaxation!”

Holiday Inn & Suites Makati Frank Ruaya Mae Ilagan When In Manila (190 of 197)

I’ve been hearing quite a lot of stories about the one-of-a-kind sleep experience at Holiday Inn but I never really believed it until I tried it myself! We are now believers!

Extremely Comfortable: this is how we would describe the deluxe room we stayed in.

The bed! OMG! The most comfortable ever!

Frank loved this chair so much he didn’t even let me sit on it! lols

With all the hotels and resorts we stay in weekly, I would have to say that somehow, we already have an idea about hotel standards and on what to expect with each classification. Of course you can’t expect 5 star amenities from 3 star hotels! As for Holiday Inn and Suites Makati, I was surprised to know that it only carried 4 stars when the actual experience was more than 5!

Stay Expressive

at Holiday Inn, you will feel so at home that you can be yourself

We felt so at home and at ease during our stay that we couldn’t stop roaming around taking photos of everything! The staff at the Holiday Inn didn’t mind us taking photos. The security was very strict so we felt very safe!

In the evening, we felt like taking a dip at the roof deck pool. The water was warm enough so the experience was very pleasant! Even the guests which we got to know said lots of good things about their stay!

Frank felt so at home that for the 1st time, he even ironed his shirts! hihihi

If you’re on a business trip, I’m sure you’ll enjoy sitting in your room’s office chair. The table was also big enough for all your stuff plus, their internet connection was quite reliable. If you want faster connection though, you’d have to pay extra of course.

If you also feel like staying in bed all day and watch tv, no worries! I felt so happy that they had a channels list! Some hotels we stayed in before didn’t provide any! It was such a relief that I didn’t have to worry about anything during our stay! Everything we needed was within reach!
