Hold Up, Disney Fans: Mulan COULD Have Songs After All

Hold your horses, Disney fans: Mulan could have songs after all!

Mulan Disney

Mulan director Niki Caro has clarified her comments about whether the live-action version of the 1999 Disney animated film would include music or not.

In an interview with Los Angeles Times, Caro talked about the music issue in the upcoming film:

โ€œI donโ€™t know where thatโ€™s come from. Weโ€™ve never talked about songs, and no decision has been made.โ€

Caro’s earlier interview with Moviefone made headlines, sending 90’s kids into a frenzy when asked about music in the movie, which she replied with:

โ€œYes, from what I understand, no songs right now, much to the horror of my children.โ€

To be fair, she did say “right now”, which means the decision could come up later.

The original 1998 movie introduced classics such as “Reflection”, “I’ll Make A Man Out of You”, and “A Girl Worth Fighting For”.

Filipina actress Lea Salonga was the singing voice of Mulan.

Would you want the live-action “Mulan” movie to have songs or not? Let us know!
