Hidilyn Diaz to conduct online weightlifting seminar to raise COVID-19 relief funds

Olympic weightlifting medalist Hidilyn Diaz will be conducting an online weightlifting seminar on April 12, 9 am via Zoom. Last Monday, she announced that she will be conducting this seminar to raise funds for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

In an Instagram post, she said, “I’m doing this to do my part as a Filipino and to share my passion, experiences, and knowledge in weightlifting.” To join the seminar, you would have to donate and register through this link. The Olympian said that all proceeds of the seminar will go towards pandemic relief in the Philippines.

Diaz is best known for being winning an Olympic silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics. She has also won gold medals in both the 2018 Asian Games and the 2019 Southeast Asian Games. She is also on track to qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but it has been put on hold due to the pandemic.
