Here’s What We Know About Quezon City’s New Elevated Promenade

If you’re looking for a new spot to enjoy the city from a fresh perspective, Quezon City’s newest attraction might be worth checking out. The Quezon City local government has officially opened the Elevated Landscape Promenade along Elliptical Road—an elevated walkway that connects Quezon Memorial Circle and Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center.

This project aims to give pedestrians and cyclists a safer, greener route between two of the city’s most well-known open spaces.

According to the Quezon City Parks Development and Administration Department (PDAD), the walkway is designed not only for convenience but also for leisure. It features bike ramps, benches, and plenty of green landscaping.

Working with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the local government helped ensure the space was designed to be sustainable and environmentally friendly.

“Its landscape design showcases lush plantings, ambient lighting, and intricate paving patterns, all centered around a striking sculptural pergola that provides shade and a perfect spot to pause and enjoy the city views,” PDAD shared in a statement.

At night, the space is illuminated with soft lighting, making it a potential new go-to for relaxed evening strolls.

In a video shared by Mayor Joy Belmonte on Instagram, city architect Baltazar Avelino mentioned that the greenery will continue to grow in the coming months. “It will be really green, everything will crawl with green,” he said, adding that the ambience from above makes for a pleasant experience.
