Kapamilya actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin recently took to social media to express her pride in her stepson Joaquin Arce, who is currently one of the housemates in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab.

On X (formerly Twitter), Angel shared a heartfelt post about how she’s been watching Joaquin grow into a thoughtful and grounded young man during his stay inside the PBB house.
Angel also opened up about a detail many viewers may not know—Joaquin is completely deaf in his right ear, something she hopes fellow housemates and fans can be more understanding about.

Joaquin, the son of film producer Neil Arce and his former partner, has been gaining attention for his calm, cooperative demeanor inside the PBB house. Fans were quick to commend Angel for her genuine support, with many describing her as a loving and supportive stepmom.
One fan wrote, “Thank you for being such a supportive stepmom to our Joaquin. We love you, Gel!” Another noticed how Angel’s social media activity picked up after Joaquin entered the reality show, saying, “Si Joaquin Arce pala ang susi sa pagiging active ni Angel sa social media.”
Earlier this year, Joaquin shared in an interview with PUSH that he looks up to Angel as an acting mentor, even receiving tips from her for his past project Tropang G.O.A.T. He also said he hopes to collaborate with her in a future project.
With Angel cheering him on from the outside world, Joaquin’s time in the PBB house is shaping up to be both a learning experience and a moment of quiet pride for his family.
