Here’s What to Know About the New SLEX Toll Rates Now In Effect

As of January 1, 2026, new toll rates are now in effect along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road Tollway (STAR Tollway). The Toll Regulatory Board approved the adjustment to support ongoing maintenance and infrastructure improvements along these routes.

For motorists passing through the Alabang–Calamba stretch of SLEX, the updated toll fees are:

  • ₱126 for Class 1 vehicles

  • ₱253 for Class 2 vehicles

  • ₱379 for Class 3 vehicles

Meanwhile, those using the Calamba–Sto. Tomas section of the STAR Tollway will see toll rates at:

  • ₱34 for Class 1 vehicles

  • ₱68 for Class 2 vehicles

  • ₱102 for Class 3 vehicles

Drivers may have noticed these changes on the road since the start of the year.

Ahead of the New Year, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation also implemented a temporary toll holiday. From December 31, 2025, at 10 PM to January 1, 2026, at 6 AM, toll fees were waived at North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), NLEX Connector, Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), and CAVITEX, allowing motorists to travel during that window without paying tolls.

Another update for drivers is the unified RFID system, which eliminates the need to maintain separate RFID accounts for different tollways. According to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the system was developed in coordination with the Department of Transportation and the Toll Regulatory Board to make expressway travel more convenient.

With these updates now in place, motorists may want to keep the new rates and system improvements in mind when planning routes and travel this year.
