HERE TO STAY: ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ renewed for a 6th Season by NBC

The public plea has been heard – TV show ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘ is here to stay.

Many fans of the show expressed their distress and sadness on social media after the recent announcement yesterday that it will be canceled, after running it for five seasons since 2013, using the hashtag #RenewB99.

It’s good news for fans, because according to USA Today, the show will “return for 13 new episodes but likely won’t resurface until early 2019”.

Cast members of the show have expressed their joy on their respective social media accounts, thanking their fans for the support and for saving the show from being canceled altogether.

NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt has said in a statement that he has “regretted letting it (Brooklyn 99) get away”, that it’s “high time it came back to its rightful home”.

“Mike Schur, Dan Goor, and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC, and we’re all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy lineup,” as reported by USA Today.
