Business tycoon Henry Sy keeps the top spot on the list of the richest man in the country. His net worth is $12.7 billion. All over the world, the shopping mall magnate ranks 94.
Sy began his way towards business success with a humble footwear business, Shoe Mart.
According to Forbes, Sy’s “family-owned SM Investments is the largest retailer in the Philippines, with stakes in banking, property, and retail.”
Other Filipinos that made it to the list include first-timers Ramon Ang and Edgar “Injap” Sia. Overall, there are 14 Filipinos on the list.
Bill Gates is still the richest man in the world with net worth of $86 billion. Next to him are Warren Buffet, Jeff Bezos, Amancio Ortega, and Mark Zuckerburg.
