Heather Morris Offers Help to Search for Her Missing ‘Glee’ Costar Naya Rivera

Actress Heather Morris has offered her help in organizing a search-and-rescue operation for her Glee costar Naya Rivera, who went missing last July 8 while swimming in Lake Piru in California.

Heather, who starred in Glee as Naya’s best friend and love interest for six seasons, took to Twitter to plead to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office to allow her and her friends to help with the on-feet search.

“My name is Heather Morris, I’m Nayas close friend and co-worker, and I’m trying to conduct an on foot search and rescue mission along with a small group of friends at Lake Piru. I understand your team is doing EVERYTHING in their power, but we are feeling helpless, powerless and want to help in any way,” she said.

“I have left a message with the department of Rescue and Air today, and I will call again tomorrow. Thank you,” she added.

As of writing, Naya’s body has not been found and is presumed to have drowned in the lake after her 4-year-old son was discovered alone in a boat she had rented.
