Animal lovers will be delighted to hear what Pinay celebrity Heart Evangelista is planning to do. Soon, she will be opening up an animal shelter in Sorsogon!
In a recent Instagram post, Heart posted a picture of herself standing on the site where the dog shelter will be built.

“As you all know, I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and it’s a dream of mine to be able to do more to champion their welfare. This will be the site of one special endeavour that is near and dear to my heart— building a facility which provides services such as spaying, neutering, tagging and shots, and a community that welcomes animals and treats them with love. This is step one and I am already brimming with excitement for this special project and I can’t wait to finally turn this dream into reality! Animal lovers were quick to praise heart for her passion for helping animals experience a better life.
The celebrity has always been vocal about her support for animals. Aside from the animal shelter, she is the celebrity spokesperson for the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). She also launched a campaign with PAWS called “Have a Heart for Aspins.” We must say, it’s a witty name! The campaign encouraged people to adopt instead of shop for pets.
The animal lover is also known to walk her talk as she also takes care of an Aspin or “Asong Pinoy” which she adopted in one of her trips in Nasugbu, Batangas. Take a look at the cute little furry in one of her Instagram posts below.
