Happy 420: A Different Kind of High at the Project 420 Party

Only the old knows how to be young, as the saying goes.

We can never be too old for parties. Surround yourself with young, vibrant and happy people and the energy will definitely rub off on you.

The 420 celebration indeed made me feel like I’m a college kid once more. I may be a latebloomer, but there’s nothing wrong with partying once in a while. Work-life balance.

The fun at the Project 420 Party held in Laiya, Batangas started at 4:20 (of course) in the afternoon. We literally “hiked” inside Kota Keluarga, an estate that isn’t fully developed yet and is tucked away in a very secluded place surrounded by mountains. If you are looking for a nice, quiet and peaceful place to relax in, then this would be the perfect place to stay. The beach faces Marinduque on the East and Mindoro on the West.

Click Productions are paving their way into history by making the 420 celebration here in the Philippines a memorable one. To those who have no idea what a 420 celebration is, it started in San Rafael, California where a group of kids who called themselves the Waldos used the term 420 as their code for smoking pot. It soon became so popular that it became a tradition in the US for most kids and is now being observed and celebrated by other countries, as well.

Now, don’t get the wrong idea. 420 isn’t just about smoking pot.The event also made a tribute to the Philippines Moms for Marijuana, whose aim is to raise awareness, promote education and create discussion in local communities about marijuana /cannabis and how we were made to believe in all the lies and negative connotations associated with the plant. Their aim is to focus on medical marijuana and how it can save the lives of people suffering from seizures, and other forms of illness like cancer.

I personally agree to that. Marijuana is a medicinal plant, which is why it is legal in other countries. Did you know that marijuana can also become a beauty product? The marijuana oil can be used as hair emollient because it contains delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, an active ingredient rich in omega 3 and thus good for the hair (I did some research on this).

Back to the event: a lot of people attended and the concept was just like last year; the only difference being the activities. like Vollerbeer and the Beer Pong supersized! I bet those people who joined had their dose of drunkenness. There weren’t any sky lanterns this year, though.
