Miley Cyrus is making history! Just this February, she took home her first Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance with her hit song “Flowers.” Now, at only 31, she’s been named a Disney Legend โ the youngest Disney Legend ever!!! It’s truly a best-of-both-worlds moment for the former Hannah Montana star.
Country music star Lainey Wilson kicked off Miley Cyrus’ Disney Legend honor with a bang. She performed a lively rendition of the iconic “Hannah Montana” theme song, “The Best of Both Worlds,” before introducing the pop star. Wilson praised Cyrus for her fearlessness, authenticity, and overall success, saying, “I want to thank you for never being afraid to step outside the box, always staying true to yourself, and most importantly, always kicking butt.”
Miley Cyrus delivered a heartfelt and inspiring speech as she accepted the Disney Legend award. Fighting back tears, she shared a candid moment, admitting, “I’m gonna let everybody in on a little Disney Legend secret. I’m the one that tells you what you’re not supposed to know. And what I want to say is that legends get scared, too.” She emphasized the importance of courage, saying, “The difference is we do it anyway, and all of you can do that every single day. It’s legendary to be afraid and do it anyway. There is no such thing as failure when you try.”
