Great food, unique crafts, and a chill vibe. That was what greeted me when I headed over to The Block Party last March 28, 2015 at Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City. Their Facebook page describes the event as a “a fitting brew of awesome food, artisanal finds, and ingenious recreations at the Makiling Park.” Having gone to The Block Party last weekend, I think that this description is pretty apt. I saw young children, families, and groups of friends chatting under the shade of the trees, sketching, reading, taking pictures, and enjoying food all day long.
Here are some of my more notable finds:
- Products

- Food

- Activities
They also had workshops organized by Real Living. The day I dropped by, the workshops were about stamping crafts, brush lettering, watercolor lettering, and hand lettering. Their March 29 workshops were as follows: Paint your Taka with Mary Velmonte of Takatak Project, Paper Flower Making with Victoria Velasco, Papercutting with Lai Reyes-Geluz, and Pointed Nib Calligraphy with Katia Naval and Geli Balcruz.
Other activities included a barter bazaar plus a photo booth and an area where people can design their own sneakers courtesy of Keds. Those who dropped by in the evening were treated to performances by musician Toni B. as well as DJs Tiger Garrido, SilverFilter, and Arbie Won.

Were you there last weekend too? How did you find it? 🙂 Do share your wonderful finds in the comments below!
