The look on my daughter’s face said it all—the moment she poured melted chocolate into her very own mold, carefully topping it with marshmallows, you could tell this wasn’t just another family outing.
At Godel Chocolate Factory in Marcelo Village, Parañaque, we got to be chocolatiers for a day.

Our adventure began with a cute surprise—a do-it-yourself photobooth corner where visitors can snap their own pictures before the tour starts. It set a lighthearted tone for the day, and my daughter wasted no time striking poses and having fun before we even got to the sweets.

Next, we headed to the tasting area, where we could choose between iced and hot chocolate, both made with Godel’s signature blends. My daughter went for the iced version, and she immediately asked if she could try the marshmallows ready for dipping into a flowing Godel chocolate fountain.
It was a sweet start that already had her grinning.

Before entering the production area, everyone watched a short introductory video about how chocolate is made and what to expect inside the factory. Godel takes safety seriously—no earrings, only closed shoes and sleeved shirts allowed, plus hairnets and face masks for everyone.
Then came the highlight of the day: chocolate making. Each guest gets to create one custom bar as part of the tour, but you can make more for ₱200 per extra piece. My daughter chose milk chocolate, while I chose the dark variant. She topped hers with a mountain of mini mallows, while I put cacao nibs and chocolate chips on mine.
It was messy, creative, and easily the most delightful part of the visit.

The final tasting sealed the experience—rows of bite-sized treats featuring Godel’s signature blends, including their take on the popular Dubai chocolates.
Each sample had a smooth, balanced richness that spoke of the careful roasting and tempering we had just learned about inside the factory.

The tour wrapped up with us collecting our personalized candy bars, which had already been cooled and stored for us, and browsing the Godel gift shop, where we happily stocked up on more treats to take home.
If you’d like to book a tour for your own family—or even a group of friends (because yes, adults will love it, too)—you can use the promo code BERTOURS10 to get 10% off on all tours until December 2025.
It’s the perfect way to turn an ordinary weekend into something delightfully educational and sweet.

Learning doesn’t always happen in classrooms. Sometimes, it’s in moments like watching your child proudly hold up a chocolate bar they made themselves.
Our visit reminded us that the sweetest lessons often come from shared experiences—and a little melted chocolate.
