When In Manila, the who’s who of the world wide web gathered last August 9, 2011 at Salon de Ning, Peninsula Manila for Globe’s very much anticipated event, aimed to recognize influential people in the social scene. The country’s preferred broadband, Globe Tattoo, recently announced the finalists of the first ever Tatt Awards. Out of almost 500 nominations, 50 finalists have been chosen for the different categories that honor those who have made a mark on the local social media scene.
“We are very pleased and overwhelmed with the public’s response to the first ever Tatt Awards. It was really a challenge to all of us members of the Tat Council as there are so many commendable entries that are worthy as finalists”, shares Tattoo Head of Nomadic Broadband Business Dong Ronquillo.

You know what’s even cooler? We can be part of the first Tatt Awards by casting our votes. Voting will be open to anyone with a Facebook account, as votes can only be entered upon logging into the Tatt Awards portal via Facebook. It has begun August 10 at midnight, and will end August 24, 11:59 PM. I tried my best not to be partial when I was writing this, so I’ll visit Globe Tatt’s page now to cast my vote 🙂
By the way, two units of Globe Tattoo MyFi were raffled off during the event. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t get one. Maybe we can try connecting to the internet using MyFi next time, When in Manila.
