The Blackberry Playbook is powerful tablet with a 7-inch display, running on Blackberry Tablet OS. Itโs got dual HD cameras and comes in 16Gb, 32GB and 64GB variants. But unlike the Apple iPad, the Blackberry Playbook supports Flash. Though the quantity of apps on the Blackberry App World is slim, users will be happy to know that the Playbook will be capable of running Anrdoid apps soon.

Of the first 100 units that came into the country, ten Blackberry Playbooks were raffled off at the launch. Unfortunately, I didnโt get one. But my friends Hannah Villasis of Flair Candy (through a beer-drinking contest) and Ms. Armin, EIC of Gadgets Magazine (via raffle), both won Playbooks. Celebrities who graced the event included Tim Yap, Miriam Quiambao, Phoemella Baranda, Marvin Agustin and a few others.

I was lucky enough to test a unit at the event and immediately I fell in love. I was pretty impressed with the classy look of the Playbook. The multi-tasking was seamless, as I was running Need for Speed and watching YouTube videos simultaneously, and experienced no hiccups whatsoever. The display was crisp and swipe commands were very responsive.
