Matthew Perry, who is famous for his role as Chandler Bing in “Friends,” has passed away on Saturday, October 28. He was 54 years old.
TMZ reported that Perry was found dead at his Los Angeles home by law enforcement allegedly due to a drowning incident at his hot tub. The law enforcement also reported the death to Los Angeles Times.
“Law enforcement sources tell us the actor was found Saturday at an L.A.-area home … where we’re told he appears to have drowned. Our sources say first-responders rushed over on a call for cardiac arrest. It’s unclear where exactly on the grounds this happened,” TMZ said.
No drugs were reportedly found at the scene.
TMZ also claimed that there wasn’t any foul play and that Perry had gone home that day after playing pickleball for two hours.
Perry was a fan favorite from the hit sitcom “Friends” and has admittedly struggled with drug and alcohol addiction during filming. He opened up about this experience in his memoir “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing” which was published in November last year.
May he rest in peace.
