Anthony Duclair, a 21-year-old forward playing for the Arizona Coyotes in the National Hockey League (NHL), recently met with a family of fans after his team’s open practice.
Little did he know that he was in for a surprise. A sweet surprise, that is.
A 4-year-old Coyotes fan named Gracie Hernandez handed her favorite player a note, which Duclair was so amused with.
Why? In the note, the little girl wrote: “Dear Duke, I’m Gracie, and I’m four. I love you! Are you happy to be back? Will you marry me?”
Being the good sport that he is, Duclair accepted the proposal and hugged his young fan. Aaawwwww. All this was captured on video by the parents of Gracie.
