When it was first announced last year that Robert Pattinson had been cast as Batman, many people weren’t happy about it (mostly because a lot of them still saw him as Edward Cullen in ‘Twilight’ – which is, admittedly, a role that is hard to erase from one’s memory… but please also check out his other movies because he is actually an amazing actor if you’d give him a chance).
Anyway, during the Batman panel at today’s DC Fandome, Warner Bros. released photos of Robert as Bruce Wayne and Batman so we can get a look at what to expect. Check them out:
Regular teasers of the film have been released since the cast announcement last year, but production was halted earlier this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the panel, it was announced that they would start filming again in September. So far, only 25% of the film has been shot, pushing the release date to October 2021.
