A fire broke out at one of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) compounds in Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City, on Wednesday, October 22.

The Bureau of Fire Protection–National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) reported that the incident took place at the Bureau of Research and Standards (BRS) Building.
It also reported that the first and second alarms were raised at 12:50 PM and 12:51 PM, respectively, followed by a third alarm at 12:56 PM. Meanwhile, the fire was declared under control at 1:34 PM.
According to an official statement released by DPWH, there are no documents related to the ongoing investigation into the flood control controversy inside the BRS building.
Further details are yet to be announced.
