Filming for ‘Batman’ Stops as Robert Pattinson Reportedly Gets COVID-19

Filming for the much-awaited Batman movie has been put to a temporary halt in Britain after reports have come out what a cast member had fallen ill with COVID-19.

This news comes just days after they had resumed shooting.

“A member of ‘The Batman’ production has tested positive for COVID-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols,” Warner Bros. said in a statement to AFP. “Filming is temporarily paused.”

Though they did not specify who the cast member is, rumors are spreading due to Vanity Fair‘s “highly placed sources” that it was Robert Pattinson, the lead star of the movie, who caught the virus. He has yet to confirm or deny the allegations.

So far, 25% of the movie has been filmed, and the official release date is currently set to October 2021.
