Film Concerts PH welcomes its 2026 season with a landmark production, Film Music Legends: The Scores of John Williams & Hans Zimmer. This orchestral celebration of two of cinema’s greatest living composers will be performed by the Filharmonika Orchestra, conducted by Gerard Salonga, on January 14 and 15, 2026, at The Theatre at Solaire.
This season opener underscores the company’s role in reimagining live entertainment in the Philippines. Known for producing film concerts (live-to-film orchestra events), Film Concerts PH now presents its first purely orchestral production, showcasing international scores through the artistry of Filipino performers.
For decades, John Williams and Hans Zimmer have created works that transcend the screen, capturing wonder, heroism, and human emotion. Williams, whose career spans more than six decades, holds the record as the most Oscar-nominated living person and is widely regarded as one of the most influential composers in film history. Zimmer, celebrated for his innovative fusion of electronic and orchestral sound, has redefined the possibilities of film scoring and earned recognition through Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and Grammy Awards.
This concert features selections from their greatest scores in a concert hall setting, allowing audiences to experience the music in its symphonic detail. Adding to the evening, renowned Filipino vocalist Bituin Escalante will be featured performing vocals for select pieces from Dune and Gladiator. Known as the “Stellar Diva,” Escalante has built a 25-year career as one of the Philippines’ most distinguished vocalists, earning multiple Awit Awards and acclaim for her powerful performances across music, theater, and television.

Selections include original scores from Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Schindler’s List, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Hook, Jurassic Park, and Indiana Jones.
ACT II: HANS ZIMMER
Selections include original scores from Top Gun, Dune, Interstellar, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, and The Lion King.
