Finding your purpose in the world of social media and content creation is no walk in the park. But sometimes, all you need is a spark of inspiration from new environments and communities to take that first step in the right direction.
Take it from Russco Jarviña, a Gen Z vlogger who’s always in search of thoughtful ways to lend a helping hand and bring smiles to his viewers’ faces. After establishing a solid following with his chaotic, fast-paced A Day in My Life videos from his college years, he has now branched out to more creative platforms that put his advocacies and goals into action.
One of which is the A-to-Z Job Challenge, his new series on YouTube.

This informative show turns our everyday hustles and work woes into thoughtful learning encounters that resonate with today’s generation. Each episode follows Russco as he takes on a specific occupation corresponding to a letter in the alphabet. With the help of his peers and professionals across various fields, he gains firsthand experience, newfound skills, and meaningful insights about the jobs he explores.
Russco’s A-to-Z Job Challenge goes beyond personal reflections and learning opportunities. The series fosters togetherness and community, championing every Filipino in the workforce who tirelessly strives for a better future and a system that allows it.
Here’s why you should tune in to this purposeful passion project:
A Wide Variety of Professional Perspectives
The A-to-Z Job Challenge started in February this year as one of Russco’s first post-college undertakings. Since then, he has bravely signed up for six jobs that he has thoroughly documented online:
- An architect,
- A Brother at his alma mater, De La Salle University,
- A carpenter,
- A director,
- An entrepreneur, and
- A fisherman in his most recent episode.
As Russco walks in these workers’ shoes, he creates an inclusive space for them to share their stories, helping us understand their livelihoods without prejudice. What started as their bread and butter has transformed into a vital part of their voices and identities, which become more visible and inspiring as the series goes on.
Russco doesn’t just sit on the sidelines and watch his colleagues work. He humbly commits to their craft, learning and adapting to their environments as much as he can to fully partake in their everyday routines. He asks questions, uses their heavy-duty equipment, and sets out to new places no matter how scary they seem. He goes to great lengths to prove that many Filipinos’ professions deserve our recognition, regardless of their nature, pay, or social status.
“Grabe ang effort and dedication sa pag-experience ng different jobs! This isn’t just any normal content. Mare-realize niyo na all jobs have different stories!” one netizen wrote on YouTube.
“Not everyone sees this side of life, but this is where real stories are… This is a reminder of how much people sacrifice just to make a living,” another shared.
Every job holds unique narratives that incite positive social change, and Russco is on a mission to highlight them to the best of his abilities.
A Little Help from His Go-getter Friends
The A-to-Z Job Challenge couldn’t have been possible without the notable professionals who’ve guided Russco throughout each episode.
When he worked as a director, for instance, the one and only Dan Villegas took him under his wing. The award-winning filmmaker brought Russco to the set of Almost Us, where the vlogger met the film’s stars, JM Ibarra and Sofia “Fyang” Smith.
As an entrepreneur, Russco spent a day at Hiraya Pilipina with its 22-year-old founder and chief executive officer (CEO), Cleo Loque. She showed him the ropes of overseeing the revolutionary brand, which empowers Filipinas of all ages with its innerwear solutions.
Russco has also used his series to pay utmost respect to the country’s blue-collar workers. He doesn’t hesitate to show viewers how they positively impact our day-to-day lives and our career-oriented outlooks.
Taking His Influence to New Levels

The A-to-Z Job Challenge is only one of Russco’s initiatives that uplifts Filipino communities.
Before the series began, he helped 100 families have a fun-filled noche buena last Christmas. He also worked closely with Attorney Chel Diokno to introduce the newly filed Interns’ Rights and Welfare Bill to more Gen Z Filipinos.
Though social media often encourages us to march to the beat of our own drums, we can learn a thing or two from Russco about using our platforms for good. Like him, we have many tools and resources at our disposal that connect us with dreamers and go-getters from all walks of life. It’s up to us to help them succeed in whatever ways we can, while we set our own aspirations into motion.
