Filipino Remake of ‘Descendants of the Sun’ Finally Has a Premiere Date!

After a year of waiting, the Filipino remake of popular Korean drama Descendants of the Sun finally announced when it’s premiering on television.

The news was dropped by GMA Network’s Instagram account in which they posted a series of photos of the cast, which included Dingdong Dantes, Jennylyn Mercado, Rocco Nacino, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and many others. In their post, they revealed that the television series will air on February 10, 2020.

GMA Network also shared a video of Julie Anne San Jose’s rendition of the series’ theme song, “You Are My Everything.”

Descendants of the Sun will follow the love story between Captain Lucas Manalo (Dingdong Dantes), the “Big Boss” of the Special Forces, and Doctor Maxine dela Cruz (Jennylyn Mercado), a hospital surgeon, who both face danger in a war-torn country.
