Filipino Chocolate Brands Win Big in 2019 International Chocolate Awards

Proudly Pinoy Chocolate brands have swept multiple awards in the Asia-Pacific leg of the 2019 International Chocolate Awards, one of the most prestigious Fine Chocolate Making Competitions in the world!

Among these brands is newly-established Auro Chocolate, a bean-to-bar chocolate company that sustainably sources their cocoa beans directly from local farming communities in Davao, which bagged five awards in different categories—two of which they were hailed as the sole winner.

Auro Chocolate’s full list of awards is as follows:

Plain/Origin Dark Chocolate

  • Silver: 70% Dark Chocolate Tupi
  • Bronze: 70% Dark Chocolate Paquibato

Plain/Origin White

  • Silver: 32% White Chocolate

White Chocolate Bars with inclusions or pieces

  • Silver: 32% Moringa White Chocolate with Pinipig

Dark Chocolate enrobed fruit pastes, jellies/gelee

  • Silver: Dalandan Tarragon

Prior to this competition, Auro Chocolate has also gained international recognition for winning big in the 2018 Academy of Chocolate Awards.
